Voice-following teleprompter for MacmacOS

Your Mac teleprompter, at eye level.

Keep your script close to the camera for presentations and video calls. On-device Voice Follow follows recognized words in supported languages, while global shortcuts keep your hands off the Mac. A separate iPhone remote is planned.

On-device voice control

Your words move. Your gaze doesn’t.

A fixed-speed teleprompter makes you chase the script. TeleNotch can follow recognized words on-device, or use local volume detection when word following is unavailable.

01 / Voice

It follows the words you say.

For supported languages, Apple Speech advances the active word as you speak. Pause without racing a timer, and switch Voice Follow off whenever you want manual control.

02 / Focus

Know exactly where you are.

Word-by-word highlighting and a fixed eye-line guide remove the tiny moments of panic that make a take feel unnatural.

03 / Control

A planned remote for hands-off control.

The separate iPhone companion will let you approve one nearby device, then send play, pause, reset, speed, and scroll-back commands over an encrypted local connection.

The control room

Fine controls. A clear stage.

Tune every detail before the take, then let the interface disappear while you’re speaking.

Display-linked scrolling

Movement is paced by a display refresh callback.

Mirror mode

Ready for professional beam-splitter glass.

Planned iPhone remote

A separate companion will control playback without receiving script text.

Script library

Keep intros, pitches, lessons, and presentations ready.

Global shortcuts

Control playback, visibility, voice mode, speed, and scrolling while another app is active.

Multi-display

Put the prompter on exactly the right screen.

01

What is TeleNotch?

TeleNotch is a native teleprompter for macOS 14 or later. It keeps scripts close to the camera for video calls, presentations, recordings, and live speaking, with manual scrolling, on-device Voice Follow, global shortcuts, and multiple-display support.

02

Does Voice Follow send audio or scripts to the cloud?

No. For supported languages, TeleNotch requests on-device recognition through Apple Speech. If on-device word following is unavailable or Speech Recognition permission is not granted, TeleNotch can use local volume detection instead. Microphone access is still required for either voice mode. The current app has no TeleNotch account or cloud transcription service.

03

Is TeleNotch always hidden in Zoom, Teams, OBS, and screen recordings?

Do not assume that any overlay is invisible in every capture setup. TeleNotch includes a screen-capture privacy control, but the result can depend on the app, macOS version, and whether you share one window or the whole display. Test your exact workflow before a live call or recording.

04

How will the iPhone remote connect?

The planned companion connects to TeleNotch over an encrypted local Multipeer Connectivity session. The Mac shows an approval prompt before accepting one nearby iPhone, and the remote sends playback controls rather than script content. The iPhone app will be distributed separately and is not publicly available yet.

05

Which Macs can run TeleNotch?

TeleNotch requires macOS 14 or later and builds for both Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Its screen selector and adjustable layout support built-in and external displays; test the placement that best matches your camera.

06

When will the direct Mac download be available?

TeleNotch is being prepared for direct website distribution. The public DMG will be Developer ID signed and Apple notarized before release. Email us if you want a message when the verified download is ready.
