The short answer

A direct definition for readers, search engines, and answer systems.

What is QuitAddiction?

QuitAddiction is a private iPhone craving tracker and general-wellness companion. It combines one-tap urge support, craving and trigger logs, personal if-then plans, sober-day tracking, milestones, reminders, and optional read-only HealthKit context.

QuitAddiction is a general-wellness companion, not medical treatment, detoxification supervision, psychotherapy, emergency support, or a guarantee of recovery. If you may harm yourself or someone else, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service now.

Inside the app

Focused tools, built around one job.

Every feature supports the same workflow, so the app feels like a system rather than a folder of disconnected AI buttons.

Pause when a craving hits

Open a focused SOS screen, check HALT, and choose a short breathing, grounding, or urge-surfing exercise.

Ride out the next few minutes

Follow a paced urge-surfing flow that helps you observe the moment without presenting the exercise as medical treatment.

Notice your trigger patterns

Log intensity, triggers, timing, and what helped, then review summaries built from the entries you chose to save.

Track sober days and milestones

Keep a self-reported streak, savings estimate, and personal milestones without promising a health or recovery outcome.

Prepare your own action plans

Write if-then responses, keep a private journal, and add trusted support contacts before a difficult moment arrives.

Keep recovery records local

Use the core app without an account. Recovery records stay in local app storage and are not synced through iCloud.

How it works

From input to useful answer.

  1. 01

    Pause and choose one tool

Open Craving SOS and use the option that feels safe and useful in the moment.

  2. 02

    Record only what helps

Save the trigger, intensity, context, and response you want to remember; relapse-support flows remain compassionate and separate.

  3. 03

    Review patterns, not predictions

Use your own history to prepare a practical next step while treating every prompt as reflection—not diagnosis or certainty.

Direct answers

Frequently asked questions.

01

Is QuitAddiction medical treatment or detox support?

No. QuitAddiction is a general-wellness journaling and reflection tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or predict a condition, withdrawal, relapse, or recovery outcome. Alcohol or sedative withdrawal can be dangerous; seek qualified medical care.

02

Where are my recovery records stored?

Recovery profiles, craving logs, journals, assessments, and selected birth details are stored in the app’s local container on your iPhone. The app does not require an account and does not sync recovery records through iCloud.

03

What habits can I track?

The app can organize self-reported work on smoking, nicotine, drinking, vaping, gambling, scrolling, sugar, and other habits. The same tools will not be appropriate for every person or substance, so choose qualified support when safety or withdrawal is a concern.

04

Does QuitAddiction use Apple Health?

Only if you grant permission. The app can read selected sleep, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, step, and mindfulness data for optional wellness context. It does not write to HealthKit or send HealthKit data to analytics.

05

Does the app predict cravings with astrology?

No. Optional astrology-inspired prompts are calculated locally and are presented only as reflection. They do not predict relapse, diagnose risk, or replace evidence-based or professional support.

06

How does access work?

Seven days of app access are included from first launch. Continuing afterward requires an available monthly or annual auto-renewable subscription whose current price and renewal terms are shown by the App Store before purchase.
