QuitAddiction Privacy Policy

Summary
QuitAddiction does not require an account. Core recovery records are stored locally on your device and are not synced to iCloud. Optional HealthKit, birthplace search, operational analytics, App Store purchase, export, and support features process only the information described below. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Information stored locally
The app can store a recovery profile, habit selections, quit dates, craving and trigger logs, journal text, coping plans, milestones, assessments, reminders, support contacts, optional birth details, locally calculated reflection data, preferences, and subscription entitlement state in its private app container. The recovery store is marked for exclusion from device backup as an operating-system request; no backup mechanism is an absolute guarantee against every external copy.
Optional Apple Health information
If you grant access, QuitAddiction reads selected sleep, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, steps, and mindfulness information to display optional wellness context alongside local records. The app does not write to HealthKit. HealthKit information, derived snapshots, and recovery correlations are not sent to analytics.
Birthplace search and reflection features
When you choose to search for a birthplace, the search text and selected location may be processed by Apple's MapKit geocoding service. The current release uses local calculations and curated content for optional astrology-inspired reflection. Cloud model guidance and remote birth-chart processing are disabled in the release path.
Optional operational analytics
Aptabase is not initialized unless you explicitly opt in. After opt-in, it can receive non-linked product interaction and diagnostic events used to understand app operation. Recovery selections, assessment answers, crisis signals, HealthKit information, journal text, birth-data presence, and raw error details are excluded. You can change the analytics choice in the app.
Purchases, notifications, and exports
Apple processes App Store purchases, subscription status, and local notification delivery under its own terms. QuitAddiction does not receive your full payment-card details. Export tools create a CSV or text file only when requested; the destination and people you share it with are your choice and responsibility.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains until you delete the relevant record or remove the app, subject to copies you created through export or device-management tools. HealthKit permission can be changed in Apple Health or iOS Settings. Analytics consent can be disabled in the app. App Store subscriptions are managed through your Apple Account.
Website and support
Website hosting processes ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect these pages. If you contact support, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send and use them to respond. Do not send recovery journals, HealthKit data, assessment answers, or crisis details by ordinary email unless necessary and specifically requested.
