Acceptance

By downloading or using Mountain Identifier ("the App"), you agree to these terms and Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The App is provided by Ideas All Day Ltd.

What the App provides

Mountain Identifier is an iPhone app that analyzes selected mountain photographs and suggests a likely peak match. Optional location can help compare named nearby peaks from OpenStreetMap. Look Around places approximate peak labels over the camera view, while saved records organize reference details, follow-up questions, and Climbed, Planned, or Wishlist status. Features, fields, suggestions, and availability can vary by image, region, device, app version, subscription status, and third-party service availability.

AI output and important limitations

AI suggestions, confidence values, descriptions, chat responses, reference information, and estimates can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. AI matches, nearby labels, elevation, route context, and follow-up answers can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Mountain Identifier is not a map, navigation, route-planning, weather, avalanche, volcanic, closure, permit, rescue, emergency, or safety service. Verify every important detail with current official local sources and qualified guidance.

Verify important information with an authoritative source or qualified professional. The App does not guarantee identification, accuracy, availability, authenticity, safety, value, or a particular outcome.

Location

If you grant while-in-use location permission, the app can use precise coordinates, altitude, and compass context to request nearby OpenStreetMap peaks, look up reference elevation, narrow an identification request, place approximate Look Around labels, and save location with a peak record. OpenStreetMap Overpass and Open-Elevation receive geographic queries for these features. Location is optional and can be denied or revoked in iOS Settings. You are responsible for avoiding location records or sharing that could expose private property, unsafe access, or sensitive sites.

Your content

You retain ownership of photos, descriptions, questions, notes, and feedback you submit. You grant Ideas All Day Ltd and its service providers the limited rights needed to process that content to provide, secure, support, and improve the feature you requested. Submit only content you have the right to use.

Purchases

The App may offer limited free use and optional subscriptions or purchases. The price, billing period, trial or introductory terms, renewal terms, and included features shown in Apple's purchase sheet at confirmation control. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings and use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used for the original purchase.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the App for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, infringing, or safety-critical activity.
• Do not present AI output as verified expert advice, official authentication, diagnosis, appraisal, or regulatory guidance.
• Do not probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or bypass usage limits or security controls except where applicable law expressly permits.
• Do not submit content you do not have the right to use or content containing unnecessary confidential information.

Availability and changes

Features that rely on AI services, iCloud, location, the App Store, or other third parties may be delayed, limited, changed, or unavailable. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features and may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of accuracy, fitness, availability, merchantability, or a particular result. Ideas All Day Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of or reliance on App output. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
