The peak match looks wrong

Use a sharp, well-lit photo that shows the full peak profile, surrounding ridges, and wider skyline. Optional location can help narrow nearby candidates.

Look Around labels are misplaced

Check location and compass permissions, move away from magnetic interference, recalibrate the compass, and remember that camera overlays are approximate orientation aids.

Current route or conditions are needed

Do not rely on the app. Check official maps, weather, avalanche or volcanic bulletins, closures, permits, and local rescue guidance before outdoor activity.

Saved peaks are missing

Confirm iCloud Drive is enabled and the same Apple Account is active. Sync depends on network access, available storage, and Apple service availability.

Important limitation

AI matches, nearby labels, elevation, route context, and follow-up answers can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Mountain Identifier is not a map, navigation, route-planning, weather, avalanche, volcanic, closure, permit, rescue, emergency, or safety service. Verify every important detail with current official local sources and qualified guidance.
