Overview

WineMe ("the App") is developed by Ideas All Day Ltd. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Photos

When you ask WineMe to analyze a label, the selected image and the identification prompt are sent over an encrypted connection to our developer-operated AI proxy and then to Anthropic for the requested analysis. A DeviceCheck token may accompany the request for abuse prevention. These services process request data under their own retention and privacy terms. We do not use label photos to train our own models.

Follow-up Chat

If you ask a follow-up question about a saved wine, your message, the relevant wine profile, and prior messages in that conversation are sent through the same AI proxy to Anthropic so it can produce a response. Do not include personal or sensitive information in a label photo or chat message.

Wine Collection Data

Identified wines, label images you save, tasting notes, bottle counts, chat history, and collection data are stored locally on your device and in your private Apple iCloud container when iCloud is available. Ideas All Day Ltd. does not operate an account database containing your cellar.

Analytics

We use Aptabase to understand aggregate product usage. Events can include action names, success or failure states, counts, subscription state, and selected settings. We do not send label photos, wine names, chat text, or raw error messages to Aptabase, and we do not use this data for cross-app tracking.

What We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone)
• Location data
• Contacts or address book
• Browsing history
• Data from other apps

Service Providers

The App uses these service categories to provide requested features:

• Ideas All Day AI proxy and Anthropic — process label images, prompts, wine context, and chat messages for AI responses.
• Apple iCloud — stores and syncs the cellar data associated with your Apple account.
• Apple StoreKit and Superwall — provide purchases, subscription status, and paywall presentation.
• Aptabase — receives content-minimized product analytics events.
• FeaturePortal — displays the feature-request portal and receives information you choose to submit there.
• Apple DeviceCheck — may provide an anti-abuse token to the AI proxy.

We do not sell or rent personal data.

Data Retention

We do not intentionally add AI request bodies to a separate WineMe account database. The AI proxy and Anthropic may retain limited request information under their security, abuse-prevention, and service policies. Your cellar persists on your device and in iCloud until you delete records or manage the app's iCloud data. Aptabase, Superwall, FeaturePortal, and Apple retain the limited data they receive under their respective policies.

Your Rights

You can:

• Delete any wine from your collection at any time
• Delete wine records and their stored conversation history in the App
• Manage or delete WineMe iCloud data through Apple's iCloud settings
• Avoid the optional feature-request portal or AI chat

Children and Alcohol

WineMe is intended for people of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App or its providers change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
