Add clear photos of leaves, bark, buds, flowers, fruit, canopy, and overall form. Include several angles and compare the result with regional field references.
A tree may be unsafe or seriously ill
Do not rely on the app. Keep people away from a possible hazard and contact a qualified local arborist for an in-person assessment.
The wood result is uncertain
Photograph a clean face and end grain in neutral light. Finish, stain, weathering, treatment, and similar species can make photo-only identification unreliable.
Collection or map items are missing
Check iCloud Drive, the Apple Account used on each device, and optional location permission. Sync and place-name lookup can be delayed or unavailable.
Important limitation
Photo-based tree, health, and wood suggestions can be incomplete or wrong. The app does not provide a verified species identification, professional diagnosis, structural tree-risk assessment, pesticide or treatment plan, medical advice, wood authentication, or appraisal. Contact a qualified arborist or relevant specialist when accuracy or safety matters.
