1. Information We Collect

Physics AI processes only the information needed to provide the feature you choose to use:

Problem images, question context, and follow-up messages you choose to submit for an AI response
Saved problems, images, quizzes, flashcards, study progress, and preferences stored on your device
Limited product analytics such as feature use, success or failure state, counts, timing, settings, and subscription status
An Apple DeviceCheck token on supported devices for service protection and abuse prevention
An assigned FeaturePortal app user ID, feature interactions, and any email address or feedback text you choose to submit through product-feedback features

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Generate explanations, tutor replies, quizzes, and flashcards that you request
Store your study data on your device and, when available, sync it through your private iCloud account
Measure reliability and improve product features without sending problem content in analytics events
Protect the online service from automated abuse
Present and manage App Store subscription offers and product-feedback features

3. Data Storage & Security

Your privacy is important to us:

Saved app content is stored locally on your device using SwiftData
When iCloud is available for Physics AI, Apple may sync app data through your private iCloud account
AI requests are sent over encrypted connections to an Ideas All Day proxy, which forwards them to Anthropic; Anthropic's standard API retention period is up to 30 days
The proxy does not store problem images or text. It stores a hashed DeviceCheck token and request IP for up to 24 hours, plus limited request diagnostics such as status, response time, project, model, byte and token counts, and errors
Analytics, commerce, and feedback providers retain the limited service data described here under their own policies
We do not sell personal data or use advertising networks

4. Third-Party Services

The app relies on the following service providers for specific functions:

Anthropic for requested problem analysis, tutor replies, quizzes, and flashcards
Aptabase for content-minimized product analytics
Apple for DeviceCheck, optional CloudKit sync, App Store distribution, and purchases
Superwall for presenting subscription offers and purchase-status features
FeaturePortal for an assigned app user ID, feature requests, votes, comments, and feature-view tracking

5. Your Choices

You can:

Delete individual saved problems and study content in the app
Manage Physics AI's iCloud data in Apple Settings
Remove the app to delete its local data
Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings
Contact us for privacy questions or deletion help

6. Children's Privacy

Physics AI is a general educational study aid and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review the request.
