History AI is provided by Ideas All Day Ltd. This notice explains what the app stores, what it sends to service providers, and the choices available to you. History AI does not sell personal data or use advertising trackers.

Data stored by the app

Saved questions, selected photos, generated analyses, tutor conversations, quiz progress, flashcards, cheat sheets, preferences, and study history are stored in the app on your device. When iCloud is available, Apple CloudKit may sync this app data through the private iCloud account associated with your Apple Account. Ideas All Day Ltd does not operate a separate account database for this study library.

AI processing

When you request scanning, tutoring, quiz generation, or AI-assisted flashcards, the content needed to answer that request can include selected photos, question text, prompts, and recent conversation context. It is sent over an encrypted connection through AIProxy to Anthropic for processing. Do not submit names, contact details, health or financial information, confidential school records, or other sensitive personal data.

AIProxy states that it stores operational API-call information including the originating IP address, response status, error response body when a request fails, and request metadata such as token or file-size information. Anthropic processes request inputs and generated outputs under the terms and privacy practices that apply to the service used by the app. Their policies and retention practices may change independently of this app.

Analytics, purchases, and feedback

Aptabase receives limited pseudonymous event names, such as use of a feature or completion of a question analysis. History AI does not send the photographed question, answer, title, chat text, or confidence value in analytics events.
Apple processes App Store downloads, purchases, subscription management, and any diagnostics you choose to share with developers.
Superwall helps present subscription offers and may process purchase-state and product-interaction information. Ideas All Day Ltd does not receive your payment-card details.
FeaturePortal processes information you choose to submit in a feature request or feedback flow. Avoid including personal or confidential information.

Permissions and your choices

You can deny or later revoke camera and photo-library access in iOS Settings.
You can delete saved questions and study data in the app, delete the app's local data, and manage History AI's iCloud access or stored data in Apple settings.
Deleting local or iCloud data does not reverse processing already completed by an AI provider for an earlier request.
You can stop using AI features while continuing to use compatible on-device study features.

Retention and security

Local and iCloud-synced records remain until you delete them, remove app data, or manage the app's iCloud data. Service providers retain operational or request data according to their own terms and policies. We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children and school use

History AI is a general study aid and is not designed to collect a child's identity. A parent, guardian, school, or teacher should decide whether the app and its AI providers are appropriate under their privacy, age, and academic-integrity requirements. Do not submit information that identifies a child or another student.

Third-party policies

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal data controlled by Ideas All Day Ltd. Because the app does not require a developer account, most saved app data is controlled directly on your device or through your Apple Account. Requests concerning a third-party provider may also need to be directed to that provider.
