Privacy Policy

Effective: August 25, 2026

Overview

Dog Identifier is provided by Ideas All Day Ltd. The App sends the photo you choose for an AI-generated likely breed or mix suggestion, stores profiles you keep, and offers optional follow-up questions. We do not sell personal data or use advertising trackers.

Photos and AI requests

When you request an identification, the App resizes and compresses the selected dog photo and sends it with an instruction through AIProxy to Anthropic. When you ask a follow-up question, your question, prior chat messages, and relevant details from the saved dog profile are sent through the same service to generate a response.

AIProxy, Anthropic, and ordinary network infrastructure process the request and may receive technical information such as IP address, request timing, service logs, and error details for delivery, abuse prevention, and reliability. Their processing and retention depend on the configured service and their policies. Do not submit photos or questions containing sensitive personal information.

Saved profiles and iCloud

Photos, likely breed details, and chat history that you keep are stored in the App's database. Apple may sync eligible App records through your private iCloud account when iCloud is available and enabled. Ideas All Day does not operate a separate database that lets us browse your saved dog collection.

Product analytics and feedback

Aptabase receives product events used to understand feature use and reliability. Current events can include the suggested breed, confidence value, message length and count, error description, settings choices, review-flow answers, feedback category, and feedback text you submit in the in-app feedback form. The selected photo, full AI chat question, AI response, and saved profile image are not intentionally sent to Aptabase.

Because free-form feedback is transmitted to Aptabase when you submit it, do not include names, contact details, health records, private conversations, or other sensitive information. Product analytics is not used for cross-app advertising or tracking.

Purchases, paywalls, and feature requests

Apple processes purchases, subscriptions, refunds, ratings, and App Store diagnostics. Superwall supports paywall presentation and subscription access and can process an app identifier, purchase status, paywall interaction, and technical request information. FeaturePortal supports optional roadmap and feature-request experiences and can process the content and identifier needed for those features.

Camera, photos, and permissions

Camera and photo-picker access are used only when you choose to capture or select an image. iOS controls these permissions. The App does not upload the rest of your photo library.

Your choices and deletion

  • Delete individual saved dog profiles and chat history in the App.
  • Manage iCloud access and device backups in Apple settings.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account.
  • Avoid optional feedback, feature-request, and support channels.
  • Delete the App to remove local App data, subject to Apple backup and iCloud behavior.

Children

The App is not directed at children for collecting personal information. Parents and guardians should supervise use and ensure children do not submit personal information in photos, chat, feedback, or support messages.

Changes

We may update this policy when the App or its providers change. The effective date above identifies the current revision.
